WEBSITE NEWS

Dear everybody :

Such a long time since I updated this page, aplogies to everybody who has been reading it.

There is now a new section on Handcrafts in Jordan, which I hope will get bigger, there is such a lot of things to write about. I have found some very interesting subjects, and please don't neglect the smaller places. I was most impressed with the shop "Made in Jordan" in Petra as you can see, but even the Burdah Ladies in Wadi Rum with few resources are doing a good job.

I have revised quite extensively the Photo Gallery page on Wadi Rum, and am rather pleased with it. But the most important of the new pages is the "Walk around Petra" which has lots and lots of photos. As I say, it doesn't replace any guide book, but is there to give you an idea of just how much there is to see in Petra.

More new pages : I have begun a page about canyoning in the Jordan Dead Sea Rift which should be most interesting. It's interesting for me, anyway, especially as I have discovered that  there are some good "dry canyoning" routes close to Petra. Wadi Rum Mountain Guides will have a professional French guide working with them this autumn season and he will be happy to take people canyoning anywhere in Jordan.

After that, probably more work on the History section - however enjoyable it is, this is going to be hard work!

Never mind, have a great time in Jordan everybody!
